G-Safe Partners
G Safe (Gravesham Safe and Free Environment)
G Safe is a Business Crime Reduction Partnership (BCRP) working closely with the business community in Gravesham to prevent and reduce crime. Our mission is to bring people together, to resolve the issues facing them on a daily basis, such as shoplifting, anti-social behaviour and crime. We work closely with Kent Police's Town Centre Team, who cover the town centre are and support the needs of our local community.

Our members can talk to each other on our two-way radio system, warning each other about known shoplifters or troublemakers and helping each other where necessary.

We also have a secure online incident reporting and intelligence sharing database, on which our members can report and view incidents and offenders of which they have been the victim, sharing this information to prevent others becoming victims too. Regular briefings and intel sharing meetings keep everyone up to date on current crime trends.

We employ a crime manager, who reviews all incident reports received on our system, and can easily spot repeat offenders and crime trends, sharing this information with our members and the police, for targeted action.

Can your business premises provide a Safe Space to someone in need?

If a person in need of safety entered your business premises, would your staff be confident to help?

G Safe has trained over 50 staff in more than 20 shops in Gravesend on how to provide a Safe Space to someone in need of assistance. Premises can be identified by the Safe Space window sticker and printed Safe Space cards are available to give to anyone that you help, with details of support services that are available.
